What is a POE Transformer?

A transformer is a device that transfers electric power from one circuit to one or more other circuits, and it can increase or reduce the voltage during the transformation. A PoE (Power over Ethernet) Transformer is a specialized transformer for Ethernet-based power delivery systems, which enables the transmission of both data and electrical power over a single Ethernet cable.
